Default 2006 Chrysler Pacifica SRT?

Quote »
These photos, taken just recently, capture a Chrysler Pacifica prototype undergoing cold-weather testing in northern Europe. When the car's driver spotted the photographer he sped away as fast as possible, indicating that there is something to hide on this prototype. What it is, exactly, is hard to know. Perhaps an all-new front end is hiding under the front disguise cover. And could those round lamps indicate an SRT version?

It's not a for sure SRT but who knows, maybe it's just a facelift

I would say facelift, because in my opinion, a SRT version is pointless.

It's a facelift.

The intro for this is about a y ear off, then it would go on sale fall 2006 as an 07... Considering I believe it launched as a 2004 model in late 03 that would put it on the market for 3 years before this new model would go out... the standard timeframe for the first styling makeover.

Not to mention the headlights are different

Insiders have been saying that the wheels are larger and that means it has bigger breaks meaning it has a more powerful engine. They were saying a 4 Liter, 300+ hp

Either way, I can tell you right now that that car will not wear an SRT badge

Yeah I know Chrysler says the Pacifica is not a minivan, but in essence it is. Does anyone really want an SRT minivan? I think not. One has to wonder if they plan a power upgrade given that the Pacifica is so gentle in its acceleration.

agreed...they can deny all they want, but the bottom line, pacifica is a minivan, maybe a sportier looking minivan...it's a good thing they are not going to put the srt on the pacifica...if they do, that would be they are taking the shady route like chevy putting ss on pratically every car

Ok, it's not an SRT. Insiders are just saying it is a mule for a more powerful non-SRT engine.

I guess, I would compare the Pacifica with Mercedes' R-Class (although the R-Class will be slightly bigger). The concept is a bit different, the R-Class will have AWD (does the Pacifica have AWD? I'm not sure...) and it is a bit more expensive, but basically it's the same.
And there will be an R63 AMG, so maybe there would be a market for a Pacifica SRT-8, too?
