Default Nissan 510 Coupe Concept

What the 350Z/ 510 should have looked like... keep in mind that these are just sketches and my scanner kinda blew them up a bit.. =\

Nice design indeed, but makes me think 240SX not 510. The 510 was a notchback and I would LOVE to see a modern Japanese RWD BMW 2002. Lord knows BMW will never build one again.

Thanks for the comments, guys! They'd look a lot better with proper ellipses though, you have any idea where I could buy ellipse/circle tracers?

Architectual offices carry them. They'll usually let you buy em off of them for about 4 or 5 dollars CDN.

Not bad ar all. I like the inclusion of Nissan's newer design ques but like Swizzle said I see this more as a new 240SX.

Interesting design detailing on the front end. A good looking little Nissan!

Well if rumours are to be believed, then BMW will have a '2-door with a boot/trunk' body with a 2 litre turbo engine, in its 1 series line-up within the next 24 months? Unless it's the Turbo Lag you miss? they'll probably engineer that out.

I think swizzle is simply lamenting the fact that BMW's idea of a spiritual successor to the 2002 will be priced like a 3-series.

That aside, I think you have a pretty neat concept here, Kramer. Though I'd love to see the face transplanted onto a slightly chunkier 3-box shape in a true homage to the original 510; to borrow from Matski's comment, it could be Nissan's answer to the 1er coupe. The 370Z is moving up, and there is plenty of room in Nissan's lineup for an affordable sporty car (because let's face it, the Altima coupe isn't exactly setting enthusiasts' hearts on fire).
