This could be either really good or really bad. I'm not entirely sure whether Carolla is a car guy, but one thing's for sure: for better or worse, he's no Clarkson. Although both are disturbingly ugly.

In any event, I'm interested to see how it turns out. What network it's on will have a lot to do with how successful it is, as will the kinds of cars they end up testing. I'll watch it!

EDIT: Wow, NBC Prime Time!! Big time stuff!

ok, I read on final gear that corolla liked TG but I just don't see him as a good host. :|

I don't see him as a car fanatic like Clarkson. In order to give a show like TG, you have to be a true car fanatic, and I just do see this happening on US TG show.

Lets just all agree, we don't need a US version of Top Gear, who will most likely constantly focus telling lies how Vette is better than Lambo or Ferrari or maybe focus on hybrids.

US TOP GEAR FTL!! Throw it into the recycling bin

It probably won't be as good as Clarkson & Co, but I'd like to see how it turns out. They will probably not like the American show at all, lol.

they shouldve used leno. hey, hes on nbc already, so why not? maybe have seinfeld cohost too, although i feel he would be biased towards porsche.

I've seen Leno review cars. It wasn't very good. He's too nice and I can't see him drive any faster than even Captain Slow. Not sure about Seinfeld, he's cool tho. I doubt he'll do any show besides the Seinfeld show. I've heard somewhere that's a stratgy of his - because doing another show would de-value the Seinfeld show somehow. I don't know, but Seinfeld would be awesome if he were to do it, I think.

Oops, I just realized I misspelled Carolla's last name :woops:

Adam Carolla has an annoying voice, is repellent and sarcastic, and it mystifies me that he has even the remotest of a career. If they wanted a radio talking head so bad they could have gotten Ryan Sechrest and it would have made as much sense. I predict early cancellation.
