Another hit?

The S90 is a crashing failure for volume. If the S90 is a success then the Continental is successful too, but we all know what kind of a sales turd the Continental is, don't we?

The XC90 is well off the pace for challenging the segment leaders for volume.

Except their sales are up 13% this year? Volvo is doing excellent for being a more niche brand.

And there is no way in hell someone is going to challenge the segment leaders now. Volvo sells as many XC90s as Audi Q7s. That warrants enough props.

But back in context, Volvo makes the best looking luxury lineup now, period. They're the Mazda of the premium brands.

The S90 would need to sell virtually EIGHT times its volume each month be to in the game.

Except I think Mazda probably has better gas engines, and both brands use unnecessarily large wheels.

But, yes, I get your point and agree overall.

I actually find it especially appealing that Volvo is not a volume seller. It's not a me-too luxury car like Benz's and Lexus.

And that's wonderful as long as Geely decides to put up with an underperforming brand.
