I was not comapring the markets - merely comparing the results of two similar products with different executions.
The EcoSport concept was literally drawn on a napkin at a lunch meeting (so the rumor has it). I feel that Ford has had more hits than misses in Europe.
The EcoSport has been a huge hit, mainly IMHO because it is the first time Ford launches a specific product for the Latin American Market.
Yeah thats precicely what i meant. So we agree that what aplies for one market doesnt for the other. So for instance if the had made the Fusion instead of EcoSport for Brasil (specificaly) it would have been just as succesful right?
This was posted in the FordEurope forums and originates from speedheads.de (at least that is what is written on the photo. A member in FordEurope claims this is really close to how the B-Max will look. Not even sure if this was posted earlier but i think it looks AWESOME and even sexier than the S-Max especially if you consider this will be based on the Fiesta!
Here is the dull Euro Fusion it will replace, no comparison!
Very nice--if that is the final design. Now, if we can just convince Ford here in the USA to sell that model....
(Come to think of it, with stricter fuel efficiency mandates from the EPA starting the 2011 model year, Ford selling the B-Max here in the USA shouldn't be hard to do, since Ford can share components from the next-generation Fiesta that will arrive in the USA probably fall 2009 as a 2010 model.)
That chop is awesome but given how inaccurate Reichel usually is I really hope that FordEurope member is for real. The new Opel Meriva will also be awesome if the latest concept is any indication so this relatively new segment, small MPVs, will be better and crowded than ever.
