Jettas of past generations looked a bit pricier, a bit better designed and just classier (or swanky if thats your thing). This just looks plain and simple.

Well, I do think pre-production (presumably), refrigerator white cars w/ blacked out door handles would make any car look downmarket. I actually think that this car has the potential to look more upmarket. The current gen Jetta in the U.S. was pretty crappy when it first appeared, so it would really take some doing to NOT outdo that one.

Although I agree that we might be looking at the new (U.S.) Passat instead....

Agreed, the current Jetta never looked pricey when it came out.

If this was the Passat, that would be even worse, but I highly doubt it is.

This screams Jetta. It's such a "faithful" evolution of the current car that people would instantly know it's a Jetta.

I think this has real promise.
