Can't wait for the Mopar, Chevy battle to begin.

2009 will be a great year for muscle car fans and car fans in general.

holy. They should make a 4 door and call it a Polara. Or use this as a new clipped Charger.

The Challenger nose on the Charger would be a huge improvement in looks. A mimic of the 68 Charger nose would also be quite nice.

Agreed on both counts... the only disturbing thing about the Challenger front clip fitting so well onto the existing Charger is that I would have expected the Challenger hood to be several inches longer between the windshield and front wheels, and the cowl to be slightly lower.. not to mention a shorter wheelbase.. so basically all we are getting is a retro-bodied Charger coupe?

That's pretty much what we expected all along given that it's the 300/Magnum/Charger platform to begin with. Wheelbase could still be shortened.

Perhaps this is the new clip they'll use for the minor model change on the Charger? It is coming due fairly soon and I wouldn't be surprised if Dodge was trying to create some better integration with their other passenger cars (such as the upcoming Challenger). Besides, the Charger name was an afterthought. The design has no connection to the Charger of old so an effort to connect the two with a retro clip (a la 1969/1970 Chargers) could be in the works here.

This is just a hypothesis.
