VSC= Vehicle Stability Control.

Same thing as ESP (Also known as Electronic Stability Program.This started it all.), DSC, VDC, VSA & etc.....

Too many acronyms for an active safety device that does the same thing.....

I really am disappointed with Toyota Australia. The Corolla Altis in Thailand/ ASEAN/ Taiwan gets VSC, while we don't. If Thailand can get it, why can't we???

While having HID on the Ultima & Levin is a nice addition, I'm pretty much disappointed that export markets don't get Super CVT-i.

Toyota has always been a trendsetter in automobile accessories.

In my obviously biased opinion, no stability control is the sign of an irresponsible manufacturer who puts profits first. It's too cheap and too imporant not to have. I hope Toyota has it on the USDM models. Lives will depend on it.

Well in a car like this, stability control isn't as important as it is in SUVs or other vehicles whose center of gravity is higher. Of course, it would only add to the value of the car, but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for most people.

Toyota dont have a ESP/VSC system developed for the Corolla that is suitable for Australian roads atm.... even not for the Yaris.

However the system will be ready in 18months for both cars. Itll also be seen standard in the Camry from September this year.

So its not that they didnt want to have it in the Corolla... just they didnt have it available to suit for Australian roads.

All in the article i posted

The Australian version is good... but i cant believe there is not rear electric windows in the Ascent (base model)... even the Yaris YR (base model) has it. I would also like to have seen different 16inch alloys for the Conquest, Levin and Ultima versions and not exactly the same. Also think they should have brought out new models names to replace Ascent, Conquest and Ultima... the last two have been around for ages,
