Somehow, this makes the 2007 Tahoe/Yukon looked dated and irrelevant. Impressive looking interior. Looks very high quality. Looks like there's quite a dog fight in the full size SUV race now that its on a downturn.

Edit:

Are those taillamps from the Freestyle?

Yup, Expedition EL. It looks kind of cheap, especially the Eddie Bauer edition. Just not my taste, better than the previous model, but stilll not to my liking.

thanks

Yes, some parts are cheap, but it is an American car and it is reasonably priced...

I really like this...I love the muscular look

I wonder why Ford didn't introduce this in Detroit just a few short weeks ago?

Because Texas is the center of the US truck market, so Ford chose the Houston Auto Show (this weekend) to introduce this big boy.

i was really surprised when i heard that they were going to unveil it in my own hometown, but i guess it makes sense. although this is probably the one and only time a car has ever been unveiled at the houston auto show. i was going to try to wait until the show tomorrow to see it for the first time, but i stumbled across an official picture in the spy shots thread (i wanted to see some nearly-uncamaflauged spy shots, but saw final pictures instead =P), so what the heck, i'll just come in here.

well, the new front end at first didn't really appeal to me, but looking at it more i like it. the rest of the outside is nothing special IMO - very minor changes, so there isn't much to see. but wow, that interior!! it's absolutely gorgeous. i'm really impressed with the tahoe's interior from looking at the pictures, but the expedition easily matches it. overall, the tahoe is more modern styling-wise, mostly around the side and rear (obviously, since it's the newer design), but i think this new expedition is just as attractive, despite the rather more aged looks...great work ford, i can't wait to see it in person tomorrow (or the day after, probably both )
