Default 2006 facelift Pilot.

I saw a 2006 Honda Pilot with some tapes around the lights and the bumper. I couldnt take pics because first of all, I don't have a camera phone. Second of all, I was at school, durin recess .Remember, Im only 11.
Anyways, I live in Toronto, which is fairly close to the Alliston plant in Canada which produces the Pilot, Ridgeline and the Civic.
The new pilot didn't seem that much of a difference. But I could see a new headlight, taillight, wheels and bumper.Any questions, just post'em or IM me because I can't exactly describe what I saw well. Also the car was heading north on Bayview Ave. and Sheppard (whoever's Torontonian might understand). The distance from where I saw the vehicle and the Alliston factory is about 40 to 60 km.

my family owns a honda pilot. my dad doesnt really like the 04 that much and he went to the dealer to see if he can change it for a newer model and he said the guy said something about a facelifted pilot and that my dad should wait.

Yes the Facelifted Honda Pilot is coming in September to dealesships as a 2006 model.

Some Q's :

Did you see the wheels? What do they look like?
Any major change on the headlamp and taillamps? Did the size changed? color?

OK here is what HondaPreview.com has to say about the 2006 Honda Pilot facelift:

The Pilot is set for a mid model change in 2006. From what we've been hearing the styling upgrade should be fairly extensive. You can also expect to see VCM (Variable Cylinder Management), Curtain Airbags and 2WD trim levels. XM you ask? We don't have a confirmation but we believe it will be standard on select models. The first 2006 arrivals will be in September.

Any chance you could ask your dad to go on a field trip to the factory and stake out the car? Welcome to the forum, this is the first that I see of you.

The wheels looked like 16's and they were 5 spoke.I couldn't see the change because camo covered them. The size was same. The color was silver and the colour looked same from 04 and 05 Pilots.

Here are some notes from ******* ***** that was up at the Honda Of Canada
Production plant last week and he got to look and the new Civic and
revisions to Pilot (all new Pilot comes next year)

Pilot details: New items - Back lit dash i.e. Accord - Rear entertainment
system i.e. Odyssey - No front/rear filler panels above bumper - more
vertical front end i.e. Ridgeline - smaller high intensity headlight bulbs
in different designed housing - clear rear tail light lenses - grill
similar to Ridgeline but solid horizontal bars - all new front/rear bumpers
- very nice looking new alloy wheel.

4 years ago was 2001 - my question for you is that why would a 99 model be covered up when it was 2001

and btw, i think most of us here "knew" (followed) the auto world since we were small...

The mirrors didn't seem much of a difference. But i dun know 'bout the badge because the car was driving by at a speed of aprox. 50km.
The lights were camoed but it looked like there could be a new edgier headlight. The rims definetely changed but from my eyes, they seemed pretty small for a Pilot.16's I guess.
