Default VW Golf 8

The first image is the new Golf.

In the second one I tried shrinking the lower air intake and tweaking the headlights to remove uneccecary details.

In the third i made the -almost closed off- air intake larger and changed the headlights with a more repeating motive.

What do you think?

Actually, I like the third one better. The larger headlights compensate the smaller lower grille. In the second one I like you removed the eyebrow (still a feature in 2019? really?), but the much smaller lower grille makes it kind of unfinished if that makes sense.

In any case, this is not a car that will make my head turn around

I wonder, could you make a fourth variant of this? One where the lower shape of the headlights is replicated by the upper shape of the headlights (originally straight)? Then they would be longitudinally symmetrical.

The third one almost brings back the double headlight design from the mark 2.

I prefer the normal larger grill in the bumper, fills it out more but I will say this, the bumper design is one of the more boring designs from them lately.

Removing that little headlight corner thingy does help, not sure why it is there, the facelift multivan/T6 have it but in the new upcoming T7, it is missing.

Also looks like the thinner grill is also in for new models, even though the current batch of cars all have larger grills. confusing.

Great work.

The third one looks a bit bland, and moving the headlights inward and making the grille taller makes the car look much narrower.

The second one intrigues me though. I don’t have a problem with the original headlight shape, but trimming the little extra eyebrow does make it look a bit cleaner maybe?

I also like the third one, that is a proper Golf face and does indeed evoke memories of sportier Mk. 1 & 2 with their double round headlights. The larger grille is also more VW than the altogether Auris/COrolla iM looking like solution of the Mk.8 front end...

Not really, but nevermind. It's not that important.
