Default Fit dead in U.S., also Civic coupe and manual Accord.

As a Fit owner (and lover), this makes me sad. I realize they likely make little to no profit on it, but it showed Honda was capable of innovative, rational, egalitarian little cars.

The HR-V is no substitute as it does everything worse, and the Civic is too big as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not surprised (maybe a little), but I am disappointed.

Oh dear i hated that Civic Coupe, but there's a lot of them in my area (which is rife with trashed out hondas and integras) leaving me to assume that this body style was doing well.

History of 2 door honda hatch backs :

CRX Gen-1 - Hit
CRX Gen-2 - Hit
EG - Hit
EK - Hit
EP - Hit?
Insight 1 - Fail
CR-Z -Fail
FG - Fail?

I knew this would be the last generation of the Civic coupe (very sad, as I think Honda nailed the body style this round), but losing the Fit stings. If not because it's a great, honest little car, then because the new gen is on sale abroad...

Also incredibly sad to see the manual Accord get dropped. The sale numbers don't justify it existing, but it was the last holdout in the segment...

Losing the Fit is disappointing. Its perhaps the last of the old school clever design mentality Honda's.
