I know I've been away for a little while but I'm back and readying the Year End wrap up everyone, and I will start it officially today! So lets get right into it!
FERRARI, have started testing its F1 developed turbocharged V-6 in the rear of the LaFerrari, and according to my source the reason this is happening is actually simple! Ferrari are going ahead to see what it can do in the carbon fiber monocoque chassis of the LaFerrari for its LeMans prototype development! This means the car will likely use a development of this hypercars chassis! As if this is not enough we will see Ferrari develop a new V-12 using some of that V-6's technology! Yes, I'm officially stating that Ferrari's LaFerrari successor will use a V-12 with small displacement and a twin-turbo set-up as well as a next generation Hy-KERS system to trump the LaFerrari's performance and topspeed! Also under consideration at present is a FF style 4 wheel drive system for this new hypercar!
SALEEN will officially call its S7 successor the S8 and this car will likely be powered by a new direct injected Saleen massaged V-8, with a possible supercharger set-up, though they have been looking at twin-turbo's as well! The car will use a new carbon fiber tub mated to a pair of aluminum spaceframes to keep weight down, and expect active aerodynamics to help this new supercar outpace many of its rivals! My soruce is unclear if this new engine will be a Ford, GM, or Chryler V-8 as Saleen/SMS has access to them all!
BUGATTI, will not rest at all after the wrap of the Veyron production, instead tooling has already started for the Veyron replacement Project Aerolithe! According to my source recent reports Bugatti, will make use of this time of final assemble of the GrandSport and Vitesse to start engine and chassis marriage development! According to my source this new carbon fiber monocoque is very light and stiff, and with plans for a even more powerful version of the quad-turbo W-16 mated to a unique to Bugatti hybrid system that will aid in the cars performance and fuel economy! My source says the car has already been in the LeMans teams wind tunnel, and the shape will be refined by the time we see the concept! According to my source in France Bugatti engineers are still looking for a way to make this new model very, very bespoke to its clients, with there imput on seating set-up, drive position, handling package, and overall set-up! My source states that Bugatti is doing a lot of what Ferrari did with the FXX, which gave legs to the LaFerrari project!
Mercedes-AMG, will reveal a SLS successor in time for the brands 50th Anniversary! According to my source this car will pay homage to the brands humble performance beginnings as well as there future! This new GT will be based on a longer aluminum spaceframe chassis and powered by a more powerful version of the brands twin-turbo V-8's! One source says the company is looking to its classic Red Sow racer which started the brand for inspiration and we will see something unique born of this over all! As for the C190 GT this car is inching closer to production and what we can expect is a car that's lightweight and focused on trumping the Porsche 911 Turbo!
