If this thing can hang with Carrera GTs it better be fast. Especially on the track, which I hope he is talking about. I guess with the performance of the Z06 and the huge power increase it was expected to reach over 200, but how it performs in areas other than a straight line ought to be interesting.

The Z06 can already hang with a Carrera GT, the Blue Devil is aiming at beating it, not hanging with it.

Read the autoblog / digitalcorvettes threads on those pics earlier. Looks like the hood has a transparent window so you can see the engine (plastic cover?) through the hood, pretty sure its a window anyway, and not a 'shaker hood', by the glare off the lights. Apart from that it has extra big outlet vents behind the wheels and huge brakes.

Well the transparent window is definitely 'different', but the side outlets look good and beef up the car a bit. And it must have some serious go-go looking at the size of the brakes :) .

By what I know the thing that is going to be showing on the hood is not a plastic engine cover but a roots type supercharger and yes its going to be a shaker type hood. It has a carbon fibre roof, bigger flares, ceramic brakes and a brand new interior.

Well, at least there are some differentiations from the regular Z06. It's good to finally see the car too. Now lets see some hard performance number, which is what we've really been waiting for.

Default Nice

I love the Corvette. It drives and handles better than many premium Italian competitors, for a fraction of the price. It's really well built too. The engine is put together by hand and the interior, although not extremelly high quality, is well put together.

And trust me, if Jeremy Clarkson liked it, then it must be a winner:

The Z06 is the only car under $100K with dry-sump lubrication.

The terrible ride seems like the only flaw, so I can imagine how the hard-core version of this thing will be like. :-/
