Acura says the new TLX will have its own platform and double-wishbone front suspension.

I mean I don't HATE it...it looks much better than the patent images suggested. Clearly that leak from a year or two ago of the interior was dead on.

That said, I still don't think this is enough to make it sell boatloads more than the current generation does. Here's another interior photo from Burlapp:

I think the exterior is great. Very close to the concept. Clean detailing, nice stance and elongated proportions.

The interior is a big let down though. That would have flown 5-6 years ago, but now it just looks cluttered. Vents look dated. So much going on with the area around the transmission buttons(?). Companies have been cleaning up and segment-izing their interior layouts/buttons and Acura missed the boat again...

I was hoping for digital gauges across the whole range too....

If they can keep this priced lower than the competition, it's fine. Feels like an older version of luxury though.

I personally am THRILLED to see a set of clear, ANALOG gauges. Fantastic. Even better, there's actual buttons on the dash! The drive mode knob doesn't need to be there, but at least it looks a teensy bit smaller here.

The offset front/rear exterior door handles are odd (and very Nissan Altima from 2 generations ago), but I can live w/ that.

This does not look to be a home run, but it certainly seems like a significant step up from the TLX (and Accord). I could see why someone would purchase this, esp if it drives well.

Gawd, I hope they offer smaller wheels on the upper trim levels. Honda/Acuras aren't known for having great ride quality, and I shudder to think about the ride on 20" wheels (since Honda/Acura, AFAIK, doesn't have air suspension or adaptive damping?).

the rear lights have a very bmw like feel to them, erase the acura logo and stick on a bmw one and it could be a BMW.

The last Preludio had Rwd proportions (axle to dash ratio) for it's Fwd propulsion. Interesting to see a return to that form. Honda has some great Fwd and Awd parts, but not manual this time around.
