Default 2021 BMW i4 (bimmer)

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a2...-electric-car/

Mercifully sedate-looking, after the grille trauma of the 7's.

Quite elegant, although it looks more like an Audi than it does a BMW....

It looks like BMW's preoccupation with dull and or ugly could be coming to an end. Very promising.

just as they're doing an iX3 which is an electric x3, they should just come out with an all electric 3/4 series.

No. That would make too much sense and be too uncomplicated. The Germans love complication. I think it's a national sport.

The funky i3 is sooooo expensive here, wish it wasn't cause i dig it. Then again BMW seems to carry the highest running costs in Australia and with Sydney being so expensive in general i wouldn't even touch a premium car.

I hope the i4 is both bold in its design without looking like a cartoon.

A bit more info and a few photos of the i4. The 2 photos don't reveal anything new. Apparently, in order to get a future BMW w/ inoffensive grille, you're going to have to buy an EV, I guess.

Specs are impressive, so one wonders what the cost will be.... I also wonder why production won't begin until 2021, when this thing seems pretty darn close to production ready....

I wouldn't count out an inoffensive grille just yet. The concepts before showed a gross connected tall kidney shape. And the spy shots of the upcoming M3 with camo don't give away the nasty face lurking below.

Strange, I could've sworn I had seen earlier pics of this car on the forum.... But I can't find them (or a thread) now.

I suspect the giant grille remains intact, given that the top of the grille is very similar to the huge grille we've seen previously. The trunk appears to be so short that I think it should just be a hatch (and perhaps it is). I also find the camo over the C-pillar to be rather curious and wonder if it's hiding something.

Door handles are very Fisker Karma/Karma Revero to me.
