Confirms that the V6 is no more and that, terrifyingly, the car will use a 10-speed automatic. I predict a major plunge in reliability ratings....

You are right. Whenever a new transmission is deployed, there is potential for real world glitches to happen that may not have shown up during the prototype phase.

While I'm pleased that it's coming with an automatic with speeds rather than a howling CVT or a jerky/harsh DCT, 10 speeds for a 4 cylinder may be a bit much.

My theory with the Chrysler 9 speed not wanting to shift smoothly and / or shift into 9th is that when it's paired with a 4 cylinder all those cogs are too much and the software cannot make sense of it all.

Teaser which suggests the face looks like an enlarged but more refined looking Civic.

these teasers don't do much for the look of it... maybe I'll be wrong - at first, I wasn't a fan of the last gen (pre MMC) - but now think it's a pretty handsome looking product (that was ruined by the MMC).

Calling it a teaser is a bit of a misnomer since it's a design sketch (which may bear little resemblance to how the car looks in 3 dimensions). The gigantic wheels, for instance, aren't obviously going to make it to production.

I don't mind the front end. Hopefully it looks that harmonious in real life....

I think the teaser is good. IF Honda can apply that to the production car i'd be happy. Issue is how will the rest of the car fare?
