Default Cadillac EV Concept

https://www.netcarshow.com/cadillac/2019-ev_concept/

A more interesting turn after the XT6. Looks like just a render at this point, but a crossover EV is something Cadillac could use, especially if they want to go after Tesla.

Please tell me I am not the only one who thinks this could easily pass off as a Chevy? A future Chevy Traverse?

It kind of looks like the new Blazer with the thin upper lights I guess, although the big vertical lights are more of a Cadillac look. I wonder what's going on with the logo?

Maybe, but just barely vaguely so.

Like the XT6, it's handsome and there is nothing inherently wrong with the design but it's also generic for a Cadillac.

My first thought was also a bigger Blazer. Very anonymous looking, could be anything form Japan, Korea or even China as well. Not good for a Cadillac...

The more EV's the merrier. However, with Tesla as the gold standard (and continuing to improve); the germans getting behind this in a big way, Koreans doing the same - how is this going to work for GM?

If you had a choice between an Audi/BMW/Mercedes/Tesla CUV - would you take one of those or this?

Definitely not a Tesla. This is more stylish than the Germans. Audis are either generic or gaudy. I don't know what in hell is wrong at BMW. Mercedes is putting some odd styling on its EV crossover. This Cadillac is good looking but it's not a Cadillac.

This render is absolutely meaningless if one is honest and looks at GM's track record with concepts versus production vehicles. Another useless GM exercise in engineering by press release.

A writer for one of the US auto mags said that this was fairly boring in person, too (ouch).

As for what EV I'd take, it really depends on the price point, the availability of a tax credit, and how a lease deal would look. The tech is still rapidly changing.
