Default 2008 Chevrolet Malibu

General Motors offers a first look at the exterior of the next generation Chevrolet Malibu Monday, December 18, 2006. The 2008 Malibu will be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. The new Malibu features a dual-port grille that represents the "new face of Chevrolet." The mid-size Malibu will have a more upscale look and feature more premium materials. GM will invest $208 million in its Fairfax, Kansas assembly plant to prepare for the production of the Malibu.

sneak peak from GM.

I believe whatever the company announced officially, it can be posted on the New Cars thread.

Save for the grille, it looks like an enlarged Cobalt, in my opinion. It'd probably look great in black, but I don't believe red is its best color...

Then again, I'll wait until more pictures come out before I make a full conclusion.

The full body shot shows a longer hood. I agree, the teaser is crap, but I think it's also slightly deceiving.

Here's the link someone posted in the Spy Pics section, with a [tiny] shot of the full Malibu:

If this gets good mileage I could see a lot of lease-return SUV owners going for these.

The gunmetal color that the other picture was in (plus the chrome since it was an upper level model) make it look absolutely stunning. If someone didn't know it was a chevy, I'm sure they'd be shocked to find out.

if you people want to post a larger photo of the darker car, please resize it and rehost it on imageshack, do not use other sites resized images.
