G37: 330HP @7500rpm, 270 torques, plain design, ugly-ass rear.

Looks Lexus-ish. I think is a dissapointment because its not anything that can make you go WOW. Front is bland, not as agressive as its prodecessor and the rear looks weird, the tail lamps look like they would be for a Nissan.

Very dissapointed...

I saw these pics and read the Automobile article; the pics are of a pre-production test-mule, and therefore, less glamorous than the full-production model will be. It's an evolutionary update, you should see the differences when you put this, and the previous generation together, and I'm certain, like many other vehicles have, will look much better in person, and in the live shots when it's premiered at the NY auto show. I'm not going to judge by these pics.
The 330hp 3.7L V6 offered is certainly a good thing!

Here's an article from http://www.leftlanenews.com which contains some more glamorous studio shots of the new G37 coupe, which indeed do it much more justice.

(either click on or copy & paste the URL above into your browser)

Along with the official studio shots are also Automobile's pics of the pre-production mule.

This car is the hugest let down in my recent memory. Sure, big engine, 330 hp, blah blah blah, but Edmunds ( http://www.edmunds.com/insidel...061#4 ) claims that it doesn't feel any faster than the 335i at all. Where did that extra 30 horsepower go? In typical Infiniti fashion, absolutely nowhere, it seems. All that power and Infiniti hasn't even figured out a 6 speed automatic to put it through yet?

And then we come to the worst part of the car; the design. This car is just HEINOUSLY ugly. Where did the FR mid-engine placement proportions go? This looks like an Altima coupe, with FWD proportions. Beyond that, the details are just startelingly bad; the headlamps don't match with the too-narrow grille, the 3-port air dam manages to be even MORE generic looking than the G35 Sport sedan's, and rear 3/4 panel looks lifted directly from the Altima coupe (+ the rear window) and they haven't even bothered changing the rear bumper from the old version. The rear 3/4 view shows a bumpy, messy front end and a weird taillamp configuration.

The current G35 coupe is just eons better looking than this mess. I hope my opinion changes when I see this car in person because I want to have loads of respect for it like I do for the current generation. This is just... messy.
