More full pics on automobilemag.com indicate that the hybrid model has the vender hole, so unlikely to be a performance upgrade.

Infotainment can now be controlled by touchscreen, although the touchpad remains.

There's also some funky a$$ door panel interior trim available (not sure if that will make it to other markets).

Photos here as well

It is definitely an improvement from the current model.

What is this area under the lights?

If it's just part of the light then I would have preferred that Lexus removed it.

Pics show a different sets of light clusters in that area, but I didn't any specific info. The LS apparently has "BladeScan" tech that the (non US) RXs have, but the RX doesn't have a similar lower light cluster.

I assume those lower lights do something unique, but I don't know what it might be.

Yeah, on some other page these are said to be sensors, as probably the side vents too, for more or less autonomous tech; of course, if it is, integration could be better (though the warts in Audi grilles, e.g., are also not a styling pinnacle)

This fifth generation LS is a sales flop. Too expensive, too stylish. LF-1 is the future of Lexus.

Four LIDARs. Mistery solved.
