Default Lincoln design boss moves to Nissan

https://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/20...-up-at-nissan/

I don't know which designs he was responsible for at Lincoln (and he was previously at RR/LR before that), but NIssan (and Infiniti, to a certain extent) could use a lot of help in the exterior design dept, so it'll be interesting to see how the brands change under him....

He was essentially behind the current design language as he was responsible for the Continental concept.

"Notable Lincoln designs in which Woodhouse was involved include the C Concept, Continental Concept, Mk9 Coupe and Aviator Concept. For Ford, he had a hand in the styling of the Shelby GR1, Airstream, and Reflex concept studies."

Thanks for the list.

I liked the MK9, but the "original" Continental concept (2002) left me cold. Also thought the C Concept was a bit odd, and I don't like the actual Continental much. We'll see if he can make anything other than an SUV look good....

The actual Continental was a very quick, Hail Mary, Super Fusion move and if you've been in a Fusion you can see the Fusion components used in the interior.

I'm hoping that they do a new Continental off CD6 and that it is a PHEV/EV product.

My bad though; I read Continental as the concept from 2015, not 2002 (which makes more sense)...seems that is what it as being referred to, so my “current design language” was incorrect.

Not necessarily. He did the Aviator "concept," so presumably he was responsible for both that and the upcoming Corsair.

Given the timing of the other notable concepts he was responsible for (2001, 2002, 2009 for the MK9, Continental, and C respectively), they're probably referring to this Aviator concept from 2004, not the one from 2018.
