Pricing announced for the U.S. Focus ST will start at $23,700 before destination. That's ever-so-slightly less than the GTI's pre-destination base MSRP of $23,995.

Maybe this will force VW to finally put the 265hp 2.0 TSI from the Leon Cupra R in the base GTI Horsepower wars!

The hatchback Focus Titanium model starts at $22,305 so I think $23,700 is just right for the turbocharged Focus ST.

That's a fair price, though i'm expecting some whining from people who don't know what they're talking about (wahhhh this needs 350hp because it's an STi rival, waaahhhhh it needs to be $15k because it's a Ford)

Interestingly, it doesn't top out much higher than the regular Focus (best I could do was $30,355), mostly because there aren't many options. Two large option packages (ST2 at $2,385 and ST3 at $4,435) that are pretty much just trim levels, a sunroof, leather seats, and that it's it.

Annoyingly you have to get the ST2 package to get leather, otherwise it's just the standard cloth seats from the SESport/Zetec.

So I think if I were to get one, since I'd like to avoid MFT for the time being, it would have to be the basic spec with no options. In Performance Blue please
