Like I said.... it's not cab-foward enough for the "multiplex meter" (JDM name ).
And it's not like all Civic-based vehicles have Multiplex Meter-- the Stream doesn't have it.

im actually glad honda doesnt have the bilevel dash in this car. because it gets repetitive after the 3rd or fourth time. now we know that this car should have a relatively different interior and that honda actually didnt slap the same interior in different cars and actually put effort into it.

3rd or 4th time? The Civic was the first time. If the CR-V were to have it, it'd be the 2nd application of such a dash.
I don't think the same people who would drive a Civic would necessarily drive a CR-V. If Honda were to make a modern reincarnation of the CRX, the multiplex meter might be used, however.

Who really cares, now?
Anyways, thinking about this about this a bit more, the multiplex meter is a possibility, it could be that the gauge cluster is really tall to accomondate it, with a speedo above the tach. But the CR-V shots are taken at angled views, not dead-on fowards views. From that, it's possible to eliminate the possibility of Multiplex.
And once again, it's not cab-fowards enough.

With any luck, the CR-V interior will resemble the RDX's interior more than the MDX's interior. The MDX's interior (if that spy pic holds true) has too many buttons for a system that uses a supposedly-centralized knob.

Actually, when you think about it, the CR-V's interior should be somewhat like the Civic's or the Stream's with the slightly driver-oriented center stack with a simple design that has the stereo above the climate controls.

I CANNOT believe they are not offering a manual transmission on this new CR-V. All I see on that model line-up is 5-speed autos. Please tell me this is not true. I drive an '04 CR-V with a manual, and would have been considering this redesigned CR-V in a couple years, but not with an auto. Nevermind the fact that Honda ditched the rear outside spare tire and mini-offroader look and who knows what else. Two long distance photos of an ad shoot in LA. Why would they keep the front disguised during a photo shoot? Have they listened to the murmur on the net and decided to change it after all? I suppose they could shoot the commercial and then in postproduction alter the front. But why? You mean the new CR-V is too racy for NA but too boring for Europe? Now, thats the dilemma every carmaker has I would say. And neither US nor Europe likes the cars that are designed for asia. And yet, BMWs seem to be wanted all over the world.
