I have just heard that here in Australia Lead replacement petrol is going to be phased out. LRP is for cars that used to run on leaded. Now owners of such cars including my family are going to have to purchase premium unleaded and a special additive which means big $$$. WHY???????, so many car owners are going to suffer as a result. They showed and interview with some dealer owner and he started saying that all of these cars should go to the wrecking yard as a result of this unless they are 'collectors items' WTF?????? I love my cars and would never want to just throw them away!!!! WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?????
There are no online news reports that I can find yet but I will post them when I can.

There are lead replacement additives that you can add to unleaded gasoline in order to drive your old engine. It's pricey, but at the same time, it's the government's way of getting rid of old vehicles and getting new one's on the road.
