Seeing that the holidays are once again upon us, and that we will be enjoying the fun of endless holiday and end of term parties, I thought it would be a good idea to find out what you guys preffer to drink for your year end celebrations.
So which is it fellas?
[hr]
Personally I like Big red wines. My favorites being Australian Shirazes and the occasional Cabernet. That said all drinks have their time and place, so if it's a party with friends (especially at a bar) I default for the Beers. I love heavy dark beers. Stouts are definitely My favorites (Murphy's and guiness anyone). I also love Sam Adams. Now If I'm going to sit around the house and enjoy a quiet nip, then I go for the distilled stuff. For that I enjoy some aged single malt Scotches (Strathisla 27 year old being my favorite), as well as really old greek Metaxa (I have a 50 year old bottle of the stuff that is a real treat to drink). Lately though I've been sampling rums, and to my surprise, Hatian aged rums make for some very nice sipping over ice.
Damn I'm a lush.

I don't drink alcohol much myself, especially since I like to drive on most occasions anyhow.
Well, I do like some beers, almost anything will do - but not Heineken, it's very bitter; and I didn't like Guinness either, too heavy. Crown Lager in Australia is good, also various imported or premium beers. If I was to go to a bar and just felt like having any old drink, and it had to be alcoholic, I'd go for a beer.
Wine, haven't had much, but it's ok - but I can't tell which sorts I like. Either red or white is ok, depends on other factors that I have no idea about..
Spirits, well, hardly ever touch them. On the rare occasion I do, then probably as part of a cocktail or mixer.
Anyhow, I prefer not to drink much, really. I don't find the idea of alcohol amuses me that much. It's my lifestyle choice.

Whisky for me (preferably Buchanans 18)! Champagne once in a while of course!
