The new site is so pimp <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/banana.gif" BORDER="0"> <p>BTW, can we possibly tranfer our post counts from CSS II? <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/ylsuper.gif" BORDER="0">

i think we should start fresh with our post counts, since this is a brand new site and name...AND we won't have to worry about people trying to brag about their post counts

yup, this new site is cool, although i'm gonna have to get used to the new layout. how about a new color scheme?

Nick

the only problem i see with that is the fact that people will want their old postcounts back so in turn they will end up spamming...maybe we can just do away with post counts completely...C&G did and it works great...no spamming.... <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emwink.gif" BORDER="0">

Awesome guys, just great.<p>I loooove the 'quickly reply' feature, oh, and the much debated 'gremlins'. I hate spam, but like it as an emoticon.

The new site is nice, this move will be a success. However, there's a couple of things i don't like: the smileys are awful and options to customize the texts are fewer than before (not that i used glowing text a lot anyway, but it was nice to have)

From what you posted it sounds like you were referring to the 'normal' "Reply" button.<p>Also, you can edit your old posts, even if there isn't a preview function. Within er, maybe 5 minutes, it won't show an "Edited by such-and-such" text at the bottom, but later it will.<p>Btw, I'm using 56k modem - yes, get with the times and so on, but I for one can appreciate fast loading times. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.germancarfans.com/images/forums/beerchug.gif" BORDER="0">

sorry to say this - I HATE THE NEW SITE. All posts were lost, everything's just starting from zero. I got used to very characteristic interface of CSS and now for me it lost all its atmoshpere and spirit. I like most things. The 4kB avatar limit seems a bit week, though. I mean, I hate huge avatars that take up the whole screen or animations that go for ten minutes, but I think 16kB or so and maybe 100x100 pix would be nice. Probably isn't too much that can be done about that though.

I like the site very much, but those smileys arent very good IMO. I cant find basic smiley that says :) or :(.
