He sped up to try and get some front shots, but the driver was obviously quite keen to make sure this didn't happen. The driver, according to our spy, kept driving in and out of cars to make sure he wasn't caught on camera! The only thing we can see to make it a AMG or a AMG bodykit, is the 2 chrome exhausts at the back. We cannot find any B-class with the option of 2 exhausts, or one with standard spec of 2 exhausts. We do begin to wonder if we have caught the future AMG bodykit, or the AMG version itself! Enjoy!
Source: Auto-Central.org

Why do they need a AMG? I hate the idea of a super-fast people carrier...sorry, but i think its just dumb. stick with sedans and coups etc i recon

this is just the tradition for MB to give out more faster and more powerful version of the original car.. Every single MB is launched as an AMG version after the release of the normal one.

OK!! than Why DID BRABUS made their version for Smart? think nobody will buy it, OF COURSE people will buy it. BECAUSE IT IS FASTER!!!!!!!
same thing with R,and B class. PEOPLE WILL BUY IT BECAUSE IT IS FASTER!!!!!
guy you sit here and say that it won't have any luck and it is dumb to build an AMG version. Don't you think that AMG thought about it long before you did? And maybe they thought that people will buy it.

Not even for the speed, although that is a big factor. MB has marketed their AMG Line perfectly.
It's more for exclusivity than anything else.

All armchair marketing aside, I think an AMG B would be a pretty cool option for buyers! Twenty years ago, it was pretty uncommon to even make a four-door into a sport sedan, much less a true performance vehicle. Nowadays, we car buyers have tons of options.
You want a 600 hp car but need to carry the family to church to seek absolution for your speeding? No problem! S65! Don't have the cash? No problem! B35! It's all about choice these days.

yes the choice is nice. personally, though i would have preferred to see amg killed off all together and the money spent to see a model designed to be truly sporty in more ways than just having a huge engine in the first place like the sla concept come to be than stuffing a 927hp quad turbo v12 into a c-class.

I think this is only a sport package. If you look at the tailpipes, there is only one twin pipe, and I think there should be 2.

Maybe a new 32 or 30 or even samller so it won't need 4 tailpipes.

The engine compartment was designed only for inline engines. Probably just a high turbo version of the B200 engine and maybe just maybe with a Bosch sequential twinturbo.

Yeah, I cant see the B32 as a model, that engine barely fitted in the SLK!
Whatever they do, it will end up sounding like British road...

It would be nice if they made another AMG diesel though, and with the B-klass not being a traditional MB product they could definitely go that way.
