Cool although it's based on Chevrolet Equinox. Same platform just different lights and badges.

consider that the camouflaged car is equal to the chevy s3x

It seems to be an asian prototype. It doesn't look like an Opel... Maybe the new Rav4? Or can this be some Nissan Based Renault SUV?

The car has Japanese plates (front) on it so it could well be the Opel Frontera based on the new Grand Vitara

The plates are Korean, notice the Korean text:
o-l
0
It has to be the SX3, which will be built in South Korea. All makes sense.

I see some Kia Sorento cues in the design... but after looking at the S3X (hah, why would they name it that? It's just asking for people to laugh!) they do seem the same. Though I don't think they'd put that tacky black trim on the Opel version. I liked the chops based on the Equinox much better, in any event.

The door handles are undoubtely Opel. The front windows shape, including the front of the door, is clearly the usual Opel design of these days. If you compare it with the Vectra side by side you will see what i mean. I have no doubt this is an Opel. I'm not so sure it's the Frontera III though...
Now that I've seen the S3X, I have no doubt this is a GM group car. Just can't say if it is Opel, Daweoo or Chevrolet.

GM's Theta platform is finding great uses! I loved the interior of the S3X concept and I'm sure I'll love the production interior (considering it looks production ready at the auto shows).

Def an S3x... Maybe a new Vue in the US, from the spy shots I'd say MY07, since the current Vue was last updated in MY04 that would be a perfect timeframe.
I love that hand brake, and it's interesting to note that the car's a manual transmission... a rarity in today's market for that class of SUV

How do we know that this is the next Vue. The styling could be similar, but the grille (can't tell too much from these pics), isn't similar to the new family version. The interior looks nice, but you can't really make anything out on the steering wheel. It'll be interesting to see what happens, because this thing looks like its ready for an unveiling really soon. (like, new york soon)

I dunno what you're smoking, but the grill looks an awful (I repeat: awful) lot like the ION's new grill. Though I will admit it doesn't line up with Saturn's direction based upon concepts. Now, consider this: we have Pictures of Hyundai testing the TG with at least two different grills...
The reason we're saying Vue replacement is because that is really GM's only immediate brand which needs a (reworked) version of the car.
Chevy (1 year old)
Pontiac (0 years old)
Daewoo (nonexistent)
Saturn (4 years old)
I can't think of any brand under GM's immediate control which needs a car based SUV which doesn't have this, and the Saturn is the oldest since the Daewoo won't be launched in the US it makes sense.
Lutz said the '08 Vue would look exactly like the Antara concept. But the Antara concept dosen't have that many doors. And that's just one of the differences.

cadil-benz

1.) The actual front end of this vehicle was covered with the same black camo as the rear when the picture was taken. Computers were used to add in the headlights, grill and probably the side vent so they are all just guesses and that is why they don't look like the antara concept.
2.) There is no way in hell Opel or Saturn will produce a three door SUV when they can't even make a decent four door one. To make the antara more of a concept car they chopped two doors off, gave big ass wheels, and a fantastic interior to what otherwise is proabaly pretty close to the production version.

oh wow, it looks like the saturn will have the exact same front end design as the opel, although the rear and interior look different (hard to tell of course, but im almost positive the saturn has different taillights). hopefully this'll be a good car; the current vue is only slightly above mediocre at the moment IMO. i really hope they get interior quality right with this as well...the chevy and opel versions should be fine, but the top of the dash on the saturn seems different...

the interior is decent but the outside is just too bland. it looks like they took a step backward IMO. i'll take a current gen, please.

The 265 hp 3.6 should make up for any blandness in the looks department, and should make the new Vue quite the competition for the Rav4.

woah, nice. i've been wondering what the rear end would look like; the spy shots made it look like it could be a completely different design, but they just changed the reverse lights. interior looks great too; even though it's been modified to make way for the corporate buttons, it still looks good, just more upright and perhaps a bit less opel-y.
overall, i think saturn should have a very competitive SUV on its hands (and certainly one that's light-years ahead of the old vue)

Not a huge fan, personally. But that may be partly because (a) it's old, having seen the other variants for so long and (b) because the Outlook is so much better looking.

SV

yeah, it's not the best-looking small SUV ever, but the antara/vue mk2 should be solidly engineered and have a good interior, unlike the current car.

It's far superior and much more advanced than the previous Vue. Once a version of the Open Astra replaces the current Ion, Saturn will have an admirable line-up; Ion replacement (Astra), new Vue, Sky, Aura and Outlook. This new Vue really adds to the great new direction!
