This is the lineup for my other made-up brand, Shannon. They're owned by Montgomery and are the luxury brand in the group.
12/21/04: I went over the drawings with better pencils (they were done with mechanical pencils originally), darkened the turn signals, and scanned them with a higher resolution.
Total 2004 Shannon sales: 312,706
Shannon Series 4

New Series 4 sets new standards in luxury, dynamics, and styling
23 September 2004 COLOGNE, GERMANY Shannon AG today released details of its new Series 4. Nice job SV, I love the fourth pic . Is it hard to draw the perspective, because I need to learn

Hey, ya posted it on old CSS, didn't ya?
I'll say it once again, great, especially I'm fallen in love with Shannon series 6

I like these a lot, the front end styling is really original and the way the side crease flows around the rear on the 4 series is a very nice touch.

heres a tissue,
I really like them, i got a question,
what materials do you use
(besides paper)exp, kind of pencil, elipses, ruler etc.

01-14-2005, 06:40 PM
i dont use ellipses for my cars, it's drawn freehand. i use rulers pretty often though. for color, i use prismacolors, and i was using mechanical pencils but now i've switched to 2H pencils.

01-14-2005, 06:49 PM
for a guy that uses no elipses, those are the best looking free handers ive seen.
the thing is that i have a hard time trying to sketch in that particular view.

01-15-2005, 09:18 AM
well, for me it took a long time to get the perspective down, and it's all self-learned (i've been drawing 3D cars since i was 5 or 6). for the wheels i just draw them as good as a can, then smooth out the lines because they look really messy at first.
also, the steering wheel on the series 4 is actually traced with a stencil, but all the ellipses are free-hand.

nice sketches man i dont like the colours on the interior though

01-17-2005, 10:28 AM
Yeah SV. Like i said before, well done.
:)

i know this thread is two months old, but i updated it with a picture of the series 8 (which i made for the luxo sedan contest). now i have the entire current shannon lineup, which will double in size in the next year or so.

As I told you in Contest section, I'm getting bored with this Shannon face, I think that you should definitely refresh it.
Nonetheless, series 6 rules

i LIKE the rear of the 8, but IMO Sv you should make a radical totally different concept for shannon, to spice up the company alittle, doesnt have to be productin, but just experiment with Shannon a bit.

06-16-2005, 10:15 AM
The Series 6 is the best. 175 bhp is a bit small for a luxury midsize sedan, but I guess it would be good for European markets. Good job anyways - I like your work .

06-17-2005, 06:23 PM
thanks. shannon's supposed to be european, so there have to be smaller engined cars like the 418, 620, and 835. here's a sneak peak at the next shannon:
Shannon's first SUV: the Series 7.
