I wonder if this will also be a Saturn that will make its way across the pond?

Those chop pics are not new, i've saw it many times now. However, i like this chop, we'll wait until later this year to see what Holden VE Commodore will look like.

I like it because the current one doesn't fit in the flagship car, imo.

If the Commodore looks like this (bar the front) im sure it will be a sucess as always. I though Opel was going to kill the Omega???

The grille reminds me of the 300C. I personally don't think it really flows with it, a smaller, more discreet grille would really help but still, I am sure these are a fair way off the final design.

I'm very sure this new car will be called omega again and also i'm really sure it will be very similar between commodore and omega for design look.

These are very old Shops based on the Opel Insignia prototype. 1,5 years ago Opel intended to use this car as the new Omega.
If you follow the German press, you would allready know that there won't be any Opel Omega anymore. Opel has decided to stay out of the luxury segment. I dont't understand why Autobild continue to use these shops even when they know the Omega is dead and burried.
In 2008 they will release a big SUV though, a mix of the Signum and the Zafira. It's Opels response on the Mercede R-class.

Isn't Opel going to rebadge the Saturn prototype shown in Detroit to use as a replacement for the Omega?

Personally, I would have really liked to see a production version of the Insignia. Too bad that's not happening now. :/

Looks nice, but id will probably not have those wheels. I still hate Opels names, Omega sounds stupid change back to the old ones like Kapitän, Kadett and Admiral.

The side profile and rear taillights (atleast from what we can see) remind me of the Saturn Aura concept. Saturn really is the American Vauxhall/Opel!

According to autocar the opel insignia is dead and a stretched elipson2 chassis front/4 wheel drive estate/cross over in the r-class mold will replace the omega..
so who really knows it seems to vary from the rear wheel drive replacement or the stretched opel sigma..but these have always been GME choices so ithis aritcle/news says nothing new..
