I thought the SL was destined to get the SLR nose treatment? I can't see why they'd give it to the SLK and not the SL. Or the SLK first for that matter. I would have thought they would have updated the SL with it now to boost mid-life dwindling sales, and then to the SLK in another 2 or 3 years for the same reason.<p><br><i>Modified by Distributor at 7:35 AM 2/4/2005</i><BR><BR>

Thank God there is no formula 1 style nose! I like the classical Mercedes-Benz sport grille.

The SL doesn't need to be another copy of other MB products, it needs to be unique. Why mess with success, the car looks fine as it is, small lights changes are fine, nothing major needed.

if it was, then this thing would be covered in 6 inches of cladding, but its clean so the nose stays :)

It wasn't really necessary, but it looks great nonetheless. One of the most beautiful cars on the planet.
