Like i said in the old thread...
I read in a Wheels magazine that its "reportedly" gettin a 5.4L V10 with around 400kW and 500Nm
I think Toyota can get 540Nm...
Yeah i remember the video....it was meant to have been on Autoexpress but i never saw it there

"Actual work on the LF-A began a year ago, while the final shape you see here was finalized just two months ago. The show car itself is two inches shorter than a Porsche 911 with a nine-inch-longer wheelbase. At 48 inches high, it is about the same height as a Ferrari F430; at 73.2 inches wide, it splits the difference between the Mercedes-Benz SL55 and the Aston Martin DB9."
- Around 3,000 lbs
- 500hp from V10 or V8 engine
- possible production
Interior looks very production ready, in fact the whole cars looks like it could be ready for production very soon. AWESOME work.

Hate the living daylights of this car.
Anyway, I think the engine is mid-mounted, becuase you can see the side intakes and obviously the fans are there to cool the engine. If it isn't mid-mounted, there will be another reason to hate this car.

This has to be the Lexus supercar - some car magazines have been referring to the camouflage pictures as a Lexus. The inside is very nice, but I like the outside better with the camouflage on!

the front is the same sise as on the supra .. an the supra has a inline-6 .. a V8 or a V10 is shorter rhen a inline6...
and there is no room for a V8 in the back (this car has a V8..)

Since there went to the trouble of putting cooling system at the back, it is very, very unlikely that they will be able to cool the engine at front, plus there are no vents at front either, except for F1 style spoiler...
This is clearly a front engined car with rear mounted radiators. Several items make this very obvious. First, the hood line is quite high and rises steeply. Second, there are no cut lines or panel lines on the rear deck. If the engine were in the rear, then how would it be accessed? Even a routine oil fill would be impossible. Third, the center air intake in the nose is appropriate for engine bay cooling and engine air intake. The rear of the car only has sufficient air intake for radiators. Fourth, there is no bulkhead between the rear glass area and the driver, so there is no way an engine would be placed there. The fumes and noise of such an arrangement would be intolerable. Fifth, the air flow clearly goes through the rear radiators and there is no path for general engine bay air flow.
This car is a front engined, rear cooled car, and this arrangement was likely chosen to improve the weight balance and possibly to enhance aerodynamics at the front end. Personally, I think it's a rather novel arrangement.
this thing is beautiful inside and out. the rear looks like a combination of the zonda and celica to me. hope this is the one.

I'm not a fan of the front end. Something just doesn't look right. The rest of the car is rather nice. I am glad they kept it clean and I really like the rear.

Well, I'm resurrecting this thread but theres a woman that comes into the cleaners where I work who works for Toyota and I asked her what she knows about it. She told me a 500 HP V10, front engine, for 2006 at limited release. She said they had to go to like a class to learn about the car.

KebabGud, they're killing off the Aristo, Altezza, and Celsior name (and the other Lexuses sold as Toyotas in Japan). Now they'll be the Lexus GS, IS, and LS in Japan as well as the rest of the world.
Still the same cars, but rebadged as Lexuses.
