The F430 coupe has been launched and its Spider drop-top counterpart is on the way: it's been snapped whilst undergoing final testing. It'll share the coupe's 4.3-litre V8 (485bhp) and either six-speed manual or clutchless sequential F1-style transmission. Expect an official unveiling this summer, and sales to start in the autumn, though the outgoing 360 Modena Spider remains on sale until then...

4Car

Anyone has news about another Ferrari's product with "flip-top" roof like the 575M Super America ???
This roof would have been very fine on the F430 Spider.

Very nice pictures! It looks like some Arabic numberplates, so could it be somewhere like Dubai, UAE etc?
I think the reason for car being there is one of these theories:
- Final hot weather testing
- A very important client getting an early drive
- Or perhaps the dealership are being shown / introduced to the the car ahead of its launch?

It could be America or Egypt. The woman looks as if she is 20-30 years old. Old woman driving a Ferrari! As if that will happen.

Let's keep the sexist comments of the board please. As a matter of fact, the overwhelming majority of owners of luxury cars, sports cars, and exotic cars, are over 50 years old.

As a quick update to the pictures of the yellow car testing.. this is what i managed to find out on http://www.italiaspeed.com:
These photos, snapped on Nokia mobile phones, provide the first public glimpse of the Ferrari F430 Spider in it's full, uncamouflaged glory. Taken in Dubai, the photos reveal the car as a logical derivative of the F430 Berlinetta, and a true evolution of the 360 Spider.
In the passenger seat, enjoying some petite female company, is Dario Benuzzi, chief test driver at Ferrari for road car development. The reason for the F430's stay in Dubai probably focuses on hot weather testing, but on the day the photos were taken the weather was reported to be only 25¬ĚC. The local car enthusiast, who by total coincidence spotted the car on two consecutive days, also stated that it was raining the day before the photos were taken. The car was fitted with Dubai commercial registration plates, with a taped-over Italian plate also being prominent.
The mystery seems to be less of a mystery now!

Modified by AM2K at 1:33 PM 1/28/2005
