That's a chop based on the GT. And even if the design detailing is accurate, i think the proportions are wrong, so the car will not look like that in my opinion.

This is going to be one hell of a storming vehicle when its launched, would give the german trio a solid run for their money.

Aren't Alfa's normally FWD? I think it's FWD. And don't hold your breath on the American re-release of the Alfa brand, I think only time will tell, that and the release of a sporty flagship model which will headline their return (see the Alfa Romeo Brera)

The car should come with a varient of the new Holden Allowtech engine, i think it will be either a 2.8 or 3.0 litre version, and it will be produced in the new engine plant in Australia.

Agreed... arguably, I think that both Mazda (especially) and Honda (with the Euro/JDM Accord/Acura TSX) benefit from this. In fact, that rear 3/4 of the white car looks kind of like a Mazda6 (especially, the front fender-line and hood).
I don't know where they stand on this, especially with the whole GM-Fiat contretemps, but Alfa North America closed up shop this past summer, apparently with the assumption that GM would be the importer/marketer for all future Alfa Romeo models in the U.S.
Should be interesting to see what happens.
