Something in the shape of the hardtop and the overall proportions of the red and yellow cars reminds me of the TVR Cerbera. Which is a good thing, mind you
The yellow car's wide-set and smallish lights make the front look very wide.
All of the cars look good in some way, except the VX Lightning concept.. I don't like the narrow grille.
One reason why this car is interesting is because sometimes Opel models find their way to Australia - it would be nice to see an affordable (well, depending on the final car) sports model like this.

I hope they don't call it the GT...just because Ford has a GT.

Opel always calls its cars in an interesting way, so maybe it won't be GT.
I love especially the second shot, the silver one. Maybe too much stealing from Alfa Romeo, but hell, it's so beatiful
I wish it wasn't as poor as Speedster

Kind of interesting - it will start at 170 PS, for very porky car (3,200 lbs) and then they will magically add V8 in there as well? Gotta love the "sources".
While it is going to be an nice car for Opel, VX is by far better and infinite times more exciting car than this...

Reminds me of the Chrysler Crossfire concept for some reason.

I thought the Solistice platform is a inline 4 only platform.

Quote, originally posted by spwolf »

Kind of interesting - it will start at 170 PS, for very porky car (3,200 lbs) and then they will magically add V8 in there as well? So the only way around this I believe is low volume production, like TVR has done I believe on one of their cars, I could be wrong though with the TVR thing. But I myself do not know how small of a prodction you need before you can bypass the law. Huckfeldt's chop is much better than the AMS one.

I wonder how opel can make this car exiting, the solstice chasis on which it is based on is slightly overweight for a 2 seat roadster. IMO opel should forget solstice and develope the Speedster/VX.
The VX is far more exiting and they don't have to bother about a high bonnet because the engines is amid the car. Its either me or the Opel management has been taking too much of that fresh stuff.

It's supposed to be a fun sporty coupe, competing with cars such as Mazda's Miata. I wouldn't be suprised if a performance variant is offered, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for blistering sports car abilities.
