This could be the first face-lifted Peugeot that looks rasonably good with the new family 'face' IMO.

Peugeot facelifts use to very very subtle. In this case it's a nice refreshment but i was especting something more, mostly in the back of the car. The original model is beautiful anyway (if you know what car do i drive)

I agree, adding that the rear end was already the dullest part of the car IMHO

Hmm.. they only changed the end tip from the exaust system on the back of the car.. Minor changes..
Why didn't they replace the rear lights for the ones on the 407?

307cc style LED lights on the hatch would have been cool, but its probably too expensive to put them on the more mass market hatchback version.

(Picture from http://www.307cc.net)

The best execution of the new peugeot face yet, much more cohesive than the 407. IMO the back is OK as it is, what the 307 needs is a crazy hot version to graw attension to the car.
The 307 has always been a beauty, this would make its final days more bearable as newer rivals have stolen the spotlight from this car. I guess it was peugeots fault in the first place for being too conservative and not offering a gti version.

Yeah that's true, i've always wondered why. Peugeot has a long GTI tradition and it's nonsense not to have a sports version of the 307 like all other competitors.

I am not very fond of this new face ...
The fog lights look very strange ....
nothing new at the rear ?....
let's hope some change inside !
is this car a 180 bhp 307 ? will the 307 get this engine ?
This car is heavy and this engine has no torque ... if Peugeot decides to put this engine in this car, it will absolutely need a six speed box .... i've driven the 307 CC 180, it is very very lazy , noisy, and at 130 km/h the engine already turns at 4000 rpm .... bouhhhhhhhhhh

It seems peugeot engineers have long forgotten how to make petrol engines since they turned all their focus to diesels. Peugeot had no competitive engine thats why there was no 307 GTi and the 180hp 2.0L engine was engineered by lotus for the 207RC.
The focus on diesel has been so much that they had to call on BMW for help to design simple 4cylinder engines. Today peugeot is known for making some of the most refined mass production diesel engines, but in their quest for diesel supremacy they lost their cult status as the quintessential hot hatch maker.
Long live the 205GTi and 306GTi.

IMO peugeot could have done the same.
Well in that case its a shame they didn't do it (from what we can see of the back end) :( .

Dal, it seems paradoxal, but we do not have information yet about the "new" 307 ... just 2 or 3 things ... new electronic devices, new left/right air condition system, new hi-fi , a new 1.6 90 bhp hdi to replace the 2.0 90 hdi ... and, er, that's it for the moment .... (in fact many things in common with the CitroËn C4) i'll be able to tell you more in march i guess, since the car is to be launched in France next June !

ah ah ah AM2K !! you've noticed too ?! Can we please exchange information instead of argueing like teenage girls ?!!
For reason you know (commercial and strategic ones) a manufacturer does not tell much about a new model when we have old ones still in our showrooms ... that's why (and until march), we, at peugeot, do not know everything about the lifted 307 . (for the 207, it's not the same problem since the 206 will go on for some time ...)
Let's keep some sense of humour !
sincerely, FRENCHY
Yes indeed, the 307 has been available in the UK at least, since 2001. I believe it was launched in France the same year.

Is anyone with me that the new Peugeot grille doesn't fit with the headlights and things on peugeots, its adventurous and you can see why Peugeot do it to differentiate their products but that doesnt mean it is at all attractive! I think more work is needed on fitting the grille in with the rest of the car.

honestly,i prefered the current 307.. the new facelift too ugly for nice facelift of the current 307..
the facelift is only nice for new 407..

Looks like it has a droopy face - not a very attractive look I might add.
And judging by those spy pics, it does indeed look like the 307 gets the LED's as well.

It reminds me an African animal that in Italian is called "Facocero".
To be more clear, an animal like Pumba, from Disney's "The Lion King": a wide (too wide) mouth with big teeth showing out on both sides of it.
Good the headlight zone; bad the front bumper.
