Given the competition, I think it deserved the win. But then again, the deck was stacked. If only Toyota had not had to delay the Tundra launch until next year. But inevitably, the head to head tests will settle that one.
Just got the M/T issue, and I find it really odd that they pitted each of the GMT900 siblings against each other. Oo Otherwise it'd just be GMT900 vs Ford Explorer Sport Trac. XD
So once again, a case of no competition. Next year will probably be the same, so there better not be any outcry from the public when the Tundra wins.

yeah what was the point of that? 5 competitors, 4 gm, all on the same platform. I guess it was the only possible way. No other company launched a truck this year. i guess next year will probably include the new super duty and tundra. ill definitely be looking forward to an issue with the mega cab vs. super duty vs. gmt900 hd's vs. tundra crew max. should be very interesting...

Ugh. Next year...... ::rollseyes:: They should do the TOTY every two years. There's only, what, 5 companies that compete in the segment (not including Honda... that doesn't really count *psh*).

And judging by Motor Trend's previous comparisons against large pick-ups and SUVs, this is my prediction on the rankings if they do one:
1. Ford SuperDuty
2. Toyota Tundra CrewMax
3. Chevrolet Silverado HD Crew/GMC Sierra HD Crew
4. Dodge Ram MegaCab
