The Associated Press reports that Ghosn says the Sentra has been delayed by a few months because, in consumer clinics testing the new car, ( its flipping ugly ) the company did not get "the kind of reaction we were expecting." Ghosn added that the company isn't stopping with a new Sentra; it could field a car even smaller for the U.S. market within three years. However the company still will focus on horsepower - because, as Ghosn says, even with rising gas prices, "Some consumers just don't careĀ they just want to enjoy their product."

Source: Autoweek

That pic is NOT the Sentra from what I've read/heard... I believe this has already been discussed on this board. Thats the Tiida Latio. The Sport Concept was based on the Tiida 5dr hatchback (that looks way better than the Latio pictured here) and the Sport Concept is said to slot "below" the Sentra in production form.
The Sentra's looks are up in the air... we only know some specs
- it shares platforms with the Renault Megane
- will feature a new base engine code named MR20DE(?) with about 135hp and the QR25DE will most likely be carried over for higher end models
- Nissan mentioned that the Azeal concept hinted at the styling
- hopefully Nissan will let us preview something

That pic is of our new Nissan Pulsar (Tiida) in Australia, which has always traditionally shared it's platform with the Sentra/Sunny.
The new Nisan Pulsar, (Tiida) will be sold here in Australia, as a 3dr/5dr hatch and 4dr sedan.
I believe in North America, you guys could get a version of the 3dr Pulsar/Tiida hatch??

I just hope that its better than the current one. Cheap, dated and ugly interior, uncomfortable seats, horrible transmission, shakes and rattles, poor isolation. Just a horrible product any way you look at it.
