Recently subaru began turbocharging their 2.5L H-4. What is rumored to come is a turbo version of their 3.0L H-6 in an sti version of the legacy.
Hp is rumored to reach 400. Seems reasonable since some tuners have modified the wrx sti with the four cylinder engine past 600hp.
Pricing is said to be close to 40K. Considering 250hp legacy gt does 0-60 in the mid 5-second mark, the legacy sti would be a direct competitor to such cars as the audi rs4 but cost 30K less. Not bad, and who knows how far aftermarket mods can take it. I just hope it makes it to our shores.
http://web.bentley.edu/students/s/siedle1_alex/

I'm not too sure whether this thread belongs here, seeing that most of the info are rumors and there are no production pics. This should be either in the spypics or rumors section. BTW, is this the same as the Legacy GT?

No. To compare, the GT is the WRX of sorts, and then you have the more extreme STi versions.

These photos have been around for (literally) years, and I see nothing beyond forum gossip to back the H6 turbo claim. There has been no official Subaru evidence to support this to date.
