<A HREF="http://www.automotive-business-review.com/article_news.asp?guid=964B62E8-2AA5-43CA-8BB8-FB3B957E336C" TARGET="_blank">http://www.automotive-business...E336C</A><p><B>Lexus, the luxury vehicle arm of Toyota, is to follow the lead of sector rivals such as Mercedes Benz this summer by launching its own credit card in the </B><p>27 Apr 2005, 15:37 GMT - The first-ever Lexus credit card, branded Lexus Pursuits Visa Card, will debut this June and is aimed at rewarding existing Lexus customers and bringing new customers into the Lexus family, the company said in a release.<p>The card will be issued by Lexus Financial Services, which is the finance and insurance brand for Lexus in the US, offering retail auto financing and leasing through Toyota Motor Credit Corporation. Payment transactions for the card will be handled by Visa.<p>"We see this card as an opportunity for Lexus to reward our valuable customers," said Bob Carter, group vice president and general manager of the Lexus division. "Like our vehicles, the Lexus Pursuits Visa Card will deliver the highest levels of quality, service and customer care." <p>The new card will incorporate a range of company-centric rewards including: using reward points toward up to 10% off purchasing a new Lexus, applying points toward parts, service and boutique items at Lexus dealership and using points for travel rewards. Five reward points will be given for every $1 of net purchases at a Lexus dealership and 1.5 points for every $1 of net purchases elsewhere. <br>_____________________________________________<p>I know MB was doing it, I didn't know it was going to be so popular.
