Part of their plan is to get serious with it's LCV - Light Commercial Vehicle, lineup in world markets. I think they have started to realise, just how important it is and what it can do for their sales.
It's starting to happen here with the new generation Transporter, a new Caddy and the larger LT Series Van's.
The Caddy is selling in good number's, considering the number of competitor's that have gone on sale here in the last few month's. Renault's Kangoo, is another surprise and is selling in healthy number's.
VW Australia just need to add some more dealers to it's net work, especially in rural/country area's and focus more on the other States and Territortes, rather than the Eastern States.
Build up their dearler network and service and VW will only get even stronger here.

TeeDi I recently read a review on carsales.com.au which mentioned VGA expanding dealerships but this has been the plan since 2002 ie mentioned in old Car News mag.
Also VWC plan to expand there caminhoes operations to South Africa and possibly sell VW trucks and buses in Aust.
With plants opening in Abu Dhabi and Mexico VW can expand on all fronts.
