Heh, I didn't think Isuzu had enough $$ to contribute to Tsunami relief efforts. Anyways, here's the article...<p>Additional Contribution Reflects Isuzu's Commitment to Those in Need<p> CERRITOS, Calif., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Isuzu Motors America, Inc.,<br>announced today that its parent company, Isuzu Motors Limited (IML), and IML's<br>overseas affiliates have decided to contribute an additional 30 million yen to<br>the Japanese Red Cross Society to support disaster relief in areas affected by<br>the severe earthquake off the coast of Sumatra and the subsequent giant<br>tsunamis in the Indian Ocean.<br> This contribution was preceded by a 4 million baht (approximately 11<br>million yen) donation pledged to the Rajaprachanugrou Foundation, an aid<br>organization, by our local subsidiaries and affiliates, distributors, dealers,<br>etc. on December 30, 2004, bringing the Group's total donation amount to about<br>41 million yen, or approximately $395,000.<p><br> Isuzu Motors Limited Appr. 10 million yen<br> Overseas entities<br> (including those in Thailand) Appr. 20 million yen<br> Affiliates, distributors,<br> dealers, etc. in Thailand Appr. 11 million yen (Provided<br> earlier)<p> Total Appr. 41 million yen<p><br> Additional support measures are being considered.<p> Isuzu Motors America, Inc., is the U.S. distributor of Isuzu sport utility<br>vehicles and diesel engines.
