I was just leaving a parking lot when i saw a E55 wagon parked beside me. i didn't even know they were available in this country...any thougths on how he got it here (through a MB dealership?)? i would think he would have to go through a lot to import a car that hasn't been certified in the US but maybe it's easy because the regular E55 and E wagon are alreay sold here. can you import any car?

Probably imported it here to the US: not particularly hard just need to meet requirements and pay some taxes (import, duty come to mind)
http://www.customs.gov

You don't have to got to a dealer to get a car. You can go directly to MB of NA and order one from them. You can choose any trim, any color, anyting. But you'll pay for it.

I saw an A-class once around town...he had it customized and it looked pretty good...
