I just got my June 2005 issue of Motor Trend magazine and happened to notice an Audi A3 advertisement with the following message:
ATTENTION: If you have any information regarding the location of a 2006 Audi A3 with the VIN # WAUZZZ8P65A045963, please contact Audi of America, audiusa.com/A3 or call 1-866-OK-RECOVER.
It was written in red lettering. Either I'm just extremely gullible or someone actually stole an A3 during company testing. Does anyone know if the phone number is real, too? I personally think the VIN# is probably a prototype number used for testing if there actually was an A3 stolen.
If this isn't true, Audi needs a new ad creator because this isn't funny.

I don't think it's real, it's a marketing thing...
see here:
http://www.carspyshots.net/zer...age=2

Now I almost wish there was an A3 stolen.
Then again, controversey like this was probably what Audi wanted. If so, they did a good job at it. Thanks for the link... never thought of looking at the A3 thread.
