yea, I've seen that before, the H2 is basically a Tahoe...which isn't bad offroad, but it isn't made to go rock crawling...but that driver is an idiot anyways...

its a stupid suv, dont see land rovers doing this sort of thing

03-25-2005, 12:05 AM
like I said, it is basically a tahoe...which wasn't made for offroading like land rovers are...if GM put more effort into the H2 as far as the mechanicals of it go, and made it more closely to the H1 it would actually be capable offroad...

Didn't theu have a Jeep vs. the H2 and the Jeep won?

03-25-2005, 08:16 AM
man, don't the idiots that buy these cars read up on what theyr ride can do before they go doing stupid sh** like this. Now repeat after me, Hummers are good for open-field harder ground off-roading. Jeeps are better in the narrow tough stuff.

I never see this happen in CSI Miami

Oh come on.
Those idiots should've gotten a Toyota.
Dumbasses who bought poseur-mobiles should suffer for their vanity.

03-28-2005, 05:55 PM
poser mobiles? Since when does the H2 say it is capable of going rock crawling? Since when is any car (other than maybe a jeep rubicon or something) able to go rock crawling straight off the showroom floor? And since when is toyota so good at rock crawling? Unless you are talking about the land cruiser, which while being fairly outdated and old is still a fairly capable offroader...as far as offroading goes, Hummers are very capable vehicles and offroading does not necessarily always mean rock crawling is involved...if you're gonna go rock crawling, get a jeep, or a K5 blazer, or a Bronco...those are fairly capable vehicles for rock crawling and they can be very easily modified to rock crawl very well for a fairly reasonable price...frankly, I don't know about anyone who would take their stock truck rock crawling...those people in the videos are just a bunch of morons...it's not the cars fault more than it is the people driving it...

Question, how many of the HUMMER bashers here have been offroad with an experienced HUMMER driver?

I have (as well as a military driver on a military Hmmvee). My previous statements still stands.
And BTW, none of the previous statements are bashing. If so they would be deleted.

03-29-2005, 10:09 AM
What did he drive? How long has he owned his HUMMER?
As for the military, I can't speak for your case but not all HUMVEE drivers get proper training, some have never even heard of BTM.

It may be that the Hummer H2 wasn't intended for Rock crawling and so on (as it wasn't) But considering the difficulty of that track that one was in ........well..... a Mitsubishi Pajero/Shogun would've done a lot better...
04-09-2005, 10:25 PM
I dunno, I've taken our suburban on rougher stuff than that...being that the H2 is basically a tahoe, it doesn't make all that much sence...
