I will go back a few years and say the 2001-2003 E39 M5, followed by the CTS-V and then the STS-V (just because it hasn't come out yet)

I think he was trying to point out that the evo has 4 doors and can out accelerate the lambo. so it must be a serious sports sedan (or is it sportscar).

I dont think it really matters, sure, that evo is a cool car, but lots of cars that are a lot cheaper than some exotics can still outrun them...take the 1991 GMC syclone, it outran a ferrari 348ts in Car&Driver september '91 issue...You can make any crap car be the fastest car in the world...but it won't look half as good as the murcielago...

I am anti-lambo now. I loved the diablo and all previous lambos and I think when VW bought lambo they completely changed the character of the company, but kept the name and badges. I dont think the murcielago is a true lambo, i think it's a 300k VW

For about 62 grand, I will give you that when you get that car, you do get all the bang for your buck. But I mean, everyone knows the murcielago isn't the fastest car in the world...but that still doesnt detract from the fact that it is a beautiful piece of artwork, it's pretty exclusive, and it still has power, and while it may not be the fastest, it's still very fast and can handle quite well...what is the weight of the FQ-400 anyways because obviously weight plays the biggest role in this car...

It has to be either the -
Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo
Holden Comodore SS
They r so cheap, and have enought grunt. They also look pretty good, if not quite at the M5 standard in performance etc.

infact, I can't remember which one, but wasn't one of the HSV commodores tested against an M5 and it pretty much came close to beating it?

Mine would certainly be either the E60 M5 or the Z Series HSV Clubsport R8. After that, it will most definately go to the RS6 Avant..

Cars like the BMW M5 ought to be good for as much as they cost. To have a great sport sedan that is affordable is more of a challenge. Acuras are pretty tough to beat although they are on the high end of "affordable" in my opinion. A Jetta VR6, also on the high end of affordable, is a very nice piece of work and sooner or later a VR6 new Jetta will show up. Granted, it will not blow the doors off of a Murcielago, but Jettas are hella fun in the twisties.
