Out of those four, I would say the Citroen C4.

My pick of the bunch is the tC. It just provides a whole new vehicle for younger kids - a moderately fast, sporty looking car with a good price. I think a lot of other brands will try and develop this kinda car, becuase there is a big market for budget sport cars.

gotta go with the tC. Citroen C4. At last a desirable car from a once idiosyncratic car manufacturer; this, along with the C2, C3 and future models should revamp the lost direction of the marque.
The Hyundai is an ugly cow of a car
Ford has taken the cutting edge styling of the original Focus and made it dull compared to its rivals
The Scion is a nice looking car but as stated, not available in Europe; and doesn't have the same impact as the C4 regarding its effect on the brand.

From the pics you posted, the designers seem to have pulled their fingers out and done a mighty job of improving the looks of the Sonata. Although quite handsome, its derivitive: quite a bit of Passat from the side; whilst the back is dull. And what can I say about the interior without leaving an aftertaste of bile in my mouth. Shiny black plastic and red trim on the mats...mmmmm. I still go for the C4

Citroen C4 all the way, The most important car of this lot. Its looks sends the rest of the cars in its class to decades from asunder, yes even the astra can't match this car. The sonata is a blatant repition of what toyota did years back. It might work, but lacks the shock factor of the C4. the gorgeous C3 did not chnage peoples opinion about citroen, but the C4 has already done that.

c4. for reasons stated above.
i think the sonata interior is utter rubbish. in fact, ill go as far as to say i prefer the previous generation.
tc doesn't excite me much, although it is a very nice and competent vehicle. defintely belongs on the short list.
new focus is a very hot car. must be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated. if ford were bringing it to the states sooner i would have voted for it.

knicks125

I voted for the Sonata for the following reasons:
price: starting under 20k, well below other compeitors
Features: tons of standard features (ABS, Traction control, EPS, etc), comfort, convenience, entertainment (mp3/subwoofer )
Safety: above
Design: well done inside and out
Power: V6 237hp...0-60 in the 6s...takes out both Accord and Camry, and most other comparable midsize sedans
And the biggest, improvement. I can't stress that enough...Hyundai has improved so much over the past decade or so. Among others, quality and reliablity are the ones I value most about their improvements

Super, I thought I did reply, but oh well. I've been horribly busy hese last few weeks with family problems.
Of that set I choose the Sonata
It's an International car which will change the future for an entire company. I think it will be a lot easier to respect it than old Hyundais. Even if you don't like it, I don't think anyone here will hate it with a vengence because it means so much.
The Focus and C4 aren't international so I don't know much about them to judge, and the tC is nothing special, nothing groundbreaking or spectacular.

the sonata gets my vote, because it's cheap, good quality, and pretty nice looking too. plus it'll be a slap in the face to all its competition.

I boyed for, wel its obvious.. but thats for a rason, the Focus was the REAL car to set this segment on fire, and its still doin that, nothing can come close. Yes it has lost some of the edgy style, but i would change that or more refindment and better dynamics and better everything anyday!

Ok guys, since your having this big argument about the Monaro - yes, in Australia it would easily be over US 30K, but in the US, the GTO (rebadged Monaro) sells for 32k (I think), which still counts it out.
Anyway, you could hardly call the Monaro new, it just has some minor revisions such as a more powerful engine and some sheetmetal revisions.
