So what do you use your cars cup holders for? do you actually carry cups of liquid in them or are they better used for something else?
In mine, cups get in the way, so I use it to hold my phone - it's perfect for that.

Ours didn't have cup holders so we had to put some custom ones on so that My Mom and Dad can drink their beer while driving (No rules here). I don't like that sh** anyway, but they do.

Nothing I guess...I've actually never used my cup holders...I guess I never had to drink anything in my car...don't know if that's a good thing or not

Keep change here visible and they'll just break your window and take it (Except if it's an old Land Rover, we've keep ours open in places where cars have been stolen at that same moment because doorlocks weren't working, and they didn't even take for the change we had inside )

Usually I use it to hold my phone and the occasional water bottle. Sometimes if I have misc papers and what not it'll get stored there.

VW has the dumbest cupholders. They put them above the radio. Guess where the water goes once it starts dripping? You guessed it, that expensive radio.

the best cupholders I have seen are the fold out ones in GM trucks...mine is great, very sturdy and can hold all different sizes of cups and other things...I usually just use mine when i have a drink or something...the most worthless cupholders I am afraid got to the e39 5 series...worst cupholders ever...they break very easily, and they can't really hold anything...my only complaint about that car...

all japanese ones are pretty durable and easy to use, the merc ones are ok but the way they unfold and come out is pretty cool. Cant belive they had research and development on it

MINE DONT WORK
The cups I wanna put in them are always either too big or too small.
Takaway cups are always to tall
coca cola cups are too small and fall over round corners
I always need to use! then and end up carrying drinks while driving

I use mine for cups. The holders in both of our Hondas are really good, but if the armrest is out in the newer one it kind of gets in the way of the back cup. The Mazda on the other hand is a bit weirder, the cupholders aren't in the way of anything in the front, but they just don't look sturdy so I don't trust them much. The middle row has horrible cup holders, and the back has good ones.

actually i do keep my radar detector in my cup holder too since i was going around a corner with it placed on my dashboard and it flew out the window and no longer works, i keep it around to remind myself of all the times it didn't help me out and i ended up getting a ticket anyway
Our Landcruiser is the 80 series model. Its just the stupid standard model, doesnt even have cloth seats (vinal) or a CD player, or electric windows. Dad has a Landcruiser 79 series, its a turbo and has a cd player/electric windows cos its a 2004 model! Its ok, but they ride so danm rough, handle so bad, have so much body roll etc etc. I have driven dads friends Landcruiser 100 sahara 2003 model. It was nice, the ride was great, and even the handeling suprised me! Mabey its just that ours is like 5 years old, and dads work ute dates back to the 80's! I say Ford Territory is the best SUV!

Our Alfas don't have any, and that's just fine, since all we drink in them is water in bottles tucked between the seat and door :)
Our Dakota R/T tow truck cupholders rarely see use except to hold a cell phone.

the SLK's cupholders are foldouts right on top of the radio. needless to say, drinks stay in the lap.
the RSX has much, much better cupholders. usually, my sunglasses go in there, or a digicam if i have it with me. and the cupholders cover over with a tray so that works out.
the BMW's are a bit bigger. they hold the round altoid cans perfectly, as well as cell phones.
