With sales of Bristol cars plummeting, the company has decided to build a new, modern coupe. Your task is to design this car.

Contest will close on Staurday the 22nd.

Yeah, I dont like this topic very much. Let's try something for the Koreans. Like, what would be your impression on the new Elantra or what would be a perfect Sonata to you. Let's try to be more international like what Superfresa said. I am out for this one also.

i dunno, it sounds interesting. bristol doesn't have much of a design language or any common styling cues, so this may be an interesting contest. or it may have to be changed since nobody seems to have heard of bristol (i've known about it for a while)....

Well, I saw the contest was still open, so here you have it! Sorry, time constraints prevented me from coloring it.
The Bristol Blenheim 4 restores much needed prestige to the Bristol marque. It is exactly what a British boutique car should be: fast, bold, sumptuous, and exclusive. The design is much sleeker than the current generation Blenheim, a dynamic, beautiful, and hunkered down grand touring 2+2 with an unmistakable new identity.

Here's my contest entry, the Bristol Blenheim CoupĀ.
This 2+2-seater has a completely new design direction following some old Bristol Blenheim and Blenheim speedster design clues, for example the special 3D twin headlamps or the Speedster grille. It is supposed to be an elegant and exclusive, but on the same time a sporty and dynamic luxury car.
I wish you all good luck!

Alrite homies, after a lot of thrown-away ideas and papers and lots of drawing in class, I whipped up a rear design I really, really liked. And I figured I couldn't just turn in a rear design, so I drew a front design that fit the bill, and here it is! You'll notice the front is inspired by the Blenheim: upright, shark-nosed front with four headlamps, with slight edges leading into the headlamps, like the tips following the original Bleinheim's lamps. It has a fusion between the Blenheim and the Fighter on the side, at once cylindrical, at another carrying a character line along the side. It's got a pure Bleinheim greenhouse profile, but a pure Fighter greenhouse shape, tapering closer to the end with an extra window at the tail, ala Fighter. The car manages all these distinctive traits without looking like either of the two, without looking like a copy, without looking retro. It is a forward-looking design for the Bristol company, dynamic yet elegant.

edit:: Really looking forward to your comments on this one. well, since everyone seems pretty anxious about ending the contest, i'll just skip coloring and enter it now. i have homework to do anyway, so i doubt i'd have time to color it today.
i wasn't planning on doing an entry, but yesterday i finally got into a "car-drawing mood," if you get what i mean, and i went ahead and came up with this. it's a bit more distinctive than what i usually do (or at least i think/hope it is), if a bit mid-90s korean in some ways as a side effect. still, i think it looks a little bristol-y, and IMO would have come out pretty good had i colored it (which i plan to do soon anyway). so anyways im hoping to get some votes this time, if only a few, since i think deciding not to shade it has hurt my chances alot. anyway, presenting my interpretation of a new bristol blenheim:

That actually looks... great. No Bristol design clues (ie quad headlamps, etc) but it's a beautiful car shape altogether.

Thanks knihc I wasn't sure how much longer the contest
would be open for so I didn't have much time to research Bristol.
Like SV stated I pretty much got into a "car-drawing mood," and just started sketching.
depending on how I feel later I may explore it a little more and see how far I can push it.
and Mazda5 so what if you don't get any votes just do it for the practice.

Im afraid i havent enough time to get down my full design.
As you guys are saying about the 'car-drawing mood', well, i got into the mood but i didnt have enough time to draw a full design, so was left with only mere skecthes...
Nice enteries anyway...hope to see more XD

Im definitely in a general drawing mood, but a Bristol never materialized.
I know this description is way late, but Bristol is a very talented old school carmaker with heavy roots in the aviation iondustry. they are EXTREMELY good at aerodynamics and the Fighter S is testament to this, not needing any downforce devices, wings, or extra air management besides a flat underbody. In the case of the "regular" cars, Bristol is content to make an oldschool coupe with 2 doors, a huige backseat, and its most notable feature, the top hinged access panelas in the front fenders. I notice al ot of your designs missed htis feature, but it is part of what makes a Bristol a Bristol. Perhaps a extension/redo is in order with better understanding of what Bristol is about.

great entries guys, sv im liking the front of your design, the lights look awesome but i think its a bit sharp at the back, Bristols tend to have a smoother overall appearence. Axis, as knihc said, great looking design, the style of th front grills and lights compliment each other really well. Well done guys..............now lets finish this contest.
Ewan

4 knihc2008 - To me, your design seems like a real solution for bristol if they wanted to get back on top. It also seems to incorporate plenty of british design cues.
3 litlweba - Beautiful drawing and as i commented before it shows real ingenuity, keep it up.
2 taskbearer - Nice perspective, interesting design.
2 AXIS - Great design, fantastic front lamps, would like to see it from a different angle.
P.S. if any1 could give me comments on my sketchs i would be very grateful, as i cant improve as quickly without them.
